On Wednesday, October 25th two of our program and event coordinators traveled to the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City to attend BizBash 2017. The morning started off with a workshop that focused on creative brainstorming to craft memorable experiences. We learned various new strategies that centered on thinking outside of the box in order to reinvent themed and repeat client events. Once the workshop wrapped up, we were able to experience the show floor which was full of new and exciting vendors we were able to meet with! From photo ops, unique décor, to interactive art activities, we were able to gain valuable information and ideas from a great deal of vendors we have not had the opportunity to work with yet. The main focus of the event was about creating “aha moments” for clients. We look forward to creating many aha moments at our upcoming events by utilizing the knowledge and creativity that was shared at BizBash 2017!
A few of our favorite products and takeaways from our BizBash experience:
- The “yes, and…” motto for brainstorming purposes – this exercise focuses on using quick thinking and working off of ideas that come to your mind right off the bat
- Edible balloons – these were such a fun and interactive edible treat that reminds you what it is like to be a kid again!
- Crowd Surfing Photo Op – this allows you to jump onto a big cushion as if you are crowd surfing and captures a video as you are participating in this activity
- Interactive Painting Workshop – this activity was led by an artist that would guide participants where to paint by pointing a laser – by the end of the event the painting was complete thanks to the assistance of attendees that would stop by and partake in the fun
