This week Roberts had the opportunity to help produce a meeting and country fair themed reception.
Roberts managed the meeting that took place at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown and was webcast live for employees that were unable to attend. After the meeting broke, guests made their way over to the Crystal Tea Room, where we helped to transform the space into a country fair.
Guests entered the ballroom though a Conestoga wagon entrance adorned with custom signage and enhanced with wheels and hay bales. As they entered, guests were welcomed by line dancers and encouraged to step up to the whiskey barrel bar and grab a down-home iced tea or lemonade.
Rounds were set around the room with alternating red and white check linens and burlap runners. In the center of the room, surrounding the dance floor, long tables with rustic wooden benches were featured. Tables were decorated with centerpieces made up of mason jars with wild flowers and votive candles. Food stations were accented with lighting and a few Conestoga wagons were used as serving stations.
Entertainment for the evening included a cowboy stilt walker, a caricaturist, a tarot card reader, a photo booth, and a row of country fair carnival games, but the excitement didn’t stop there. Musical entertainment was provided by a live 5-piece country band. During the band’s set, you could find line dancers out on the dance floor teaching guests how to move.
Every element of the night was exciting, but our favorite feature had to be the custom designed lighting over the dance floor. The lighting definitely help give the space that country feel!
